Prostate is an organ which is only available in men. Prostate located between the bladder and penis. It is situated just in front of the rectum, Anal. The prostate has a layered structure. Prostate is divided into two parts inner gland and outer gland. Inner gland is situated around the urethra and the outer gland is near the capsule. Now a day, prostate is divided into three parts, marginal area, central area and the transition area. The marginal area is the outer gland whereas the central area and the transition area is the inner glands. Prostate is the male reproductive system. Its size is just like a walnuts. The main function of the prostate is that it helps to make the semen, which carries the sperm. Prostate also nourishes and protects sperm. The prostatic fluid involves in reproductive function. Prostatic fluid is one of the main ingredient of the semen. The prostatic fluid contains the ingredients which help in protecting the sperm and it also help to activate the sperm. The symptoms of prostate problems are that bladder does not get empty, blood in the urine, a weak urine stream, painful urination etc. The symptoms of prostate cancer are urine problem, blood in the urine and semen, pain or discomfort during ejaculation. The treatment of BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) are alpha blockers, 5 alpha- reductase inhibitors, drugs treatment and surgery for an enlarged prostate. The treatment of prostate cancer are surveillance, surgery, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, vaccine therapy and other therapy. The prostate diseases generally occurs in the men, whose age is above 50. Almost 50% men suffer from BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) whose age is above 50 and almost 90% men suffer from BPH whose age is above 80.
